The Awaken the Spanish Within course is designed to help participants learn Spanish in a fun, innovative, and practical way. Spanish is taught through a system of total involvement and maximum pleasure, encouraging the learner to feel comfortable and confident learning to speak Spanish.

Shape Up Your Spanish at the University of Richmond
Work out your Spanish, whip it into shape, and get it fit and ready for travel!
This class is designed for adults who have completed the Awaken the Spanish Within basic program or have a good foundation of Spanish and are looking to improve their skills and continue their journey into the Hispanic culture and language. (We will focus on grammar and speaking more fluently.)

Conversational Spanish Course at the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The class will help continue your personal journey in speaking Spanish if you have already taken the Awaken the Spanish Within course, and will focus on using the past present and future tense verbs.

Private Coaching Sessions
Take advantage of one-on-one training. The program consists of 5 customized 1 hour sessions that are set up by you and your Spanish coach. The cost for the 5 sessions is $300.00 and they are to be completed within 7 weeks of the start date. Your Spanish coach will evaluate where you are and you will make goals to where you would like to be in speaking Spanish. We have had great success from our patent-pending system of learning in getting participants to speak confidently.

Awaken the Spanish Within Immersion Language and Cultural Training Program and Alianzas Cultural Academy

What is the Alianzas Cultural Academy?
The Alianzas Cultural Academy is a thought-provoking and engaging class for anyone who wants to enhance his or her knowledge about the Hispanic/Latino culture. Learn about the influences and challenges associated with the demographic shifts in Missouri communities, the Cultural Reality Model, and basic Spanish language comprehension. Alianzas will partner with Lisa Zajur, founder of the Spanish Academy and Cultural Institute in Virginia, to present the “Awaken the Spanish Within®” language and cultural training program based on the patent-pending system of learning called Voice Tonality™ Technology.
Participants will:
- Learn about programming that facilitates partnerships with Hispanic/Latino communities in Missouri,
- Explore features of the Hispanic/Latino culture,
- Discuss why culture matters,
- Identify strategies for conducting outreach to, and establishing personal relationships with Hispanics/Latinos,
- Learn the basic foundations of the Spanish language, and
- Tour local Hispanic/Latino-serving agencies to learn about their challenges, successes, and strategies.
Registration Information
Class is limited to 30 students and is open to the public. The registration fee of $450.00 covers the cost of a 200-page course training manual, an “Awaken the Spanish Within” 15-CD audio program set containing the patent-pending Voice Tonality™ Technology system of learning, a guided tour of Hispanic serving organizations, 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and refreshments for 4 breaks. Please note that the Cultural Academy will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3th and will end at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5th.
